When working at height with Builders Trestles, there is always a danger of falling. To prevent dangerous falls and to comply with Work At Height Regulations 2005 , a Trestle scaffold should be equipped with a handrail system. A handrail system provides a safe working platform with safe ladder access. The system consists of handrail posts, Handrails, side or end gate, ladder bracket and outriggers / stabilisers. The builder’s trestle system is a flexible work platform that is ideal for simple tasks in construction or maintenance projects. Setting it up is easy. This is a system with minimal components and ease setting up, dismantling, storage, and maintenance are all aspects of this scaffold. -
Use our Trestle Handrail Post product to convert your existing Builders Trestles to comply with the Work At Height Regulations 2005.
The Trestle Handrail Post and Corner Post is the main component of our Trestle Handrail System. It is manufactured to hold 75mm x 50mm timber rails. 10mm holes are provided in the brackets to fix the timbers using screws.

The Trestle Ladder Access Gate is a 2 part component and can only be used in the face of the platform. To create an access point the Trestle Access Gate should be used alongside the Ladder Bracket and should be positioned in the face of the platform. Access points cannot be created at the end of the working platform. The end of the work platform can be blocked off using the access gate but this gate can only be used for loading materials and not as an access point for personnel.

Every work platform requires a ladder access point and DRE Builders Trestle Ladder Bracket doubles as a handrail post. The access ladder is fixed securely to the arm provided on the Ladder Bracket and should be installed to run up to the access gate on the work platform to provide safe access for users.

Using a Trestle Stabiliser will ensures a more rigid system and improves the stability of the temporary structure, while helping become compliant with the Work At Height Regulations . They are an optional extra for our Trestle Handrail System. 1no stabiliser for each trestle is recommended if the trestles are to be used at a height in excess of 1.2 mtrs high.

Situated underneath a concrete pump, these trays collect spills, concrete waste and washout water in order to minimise potential hazards. They limit environmental damage by securely containing contents safely. All Concrete Washout Trays are fitted with fork pockets and crane lugs and the trays can be quickly moved around on site. They also feature tapered sides to assist in waste collection. -

The Crane Pallet Forks are self-levelling for crane lifting palletised loads. DRE supply a Crane Pallet Forks with automatic centre-of-gravity adjustment to be used with a crane or other lifting machine to move palletised loads, where a forklift or telehandler cannot access or would prove inadequate. Debris net hooks are optional. The Fork spacing is adjustable manually from 450 mm to 950 mm. The working height is adjustable by pin system from 1150 to 1750 mm. -
DRE Crane rescue Cage is designed for use with cranes. Our emergency crane rescue cages have been designed to assist with the safe transportation of injured personnel from difficult inaccessible locations. The cage has slide up gates for easy access and meshed sides for extra safety. The stretcher cage is fitted with a bench with anchor points for securing a stretcher. There is also harness anchor points provided for medical and other personnel. Its narrow and portable design allows it to access otherwise inaccessible areas. This Concrete Skip’s extra-heavy-duty and rugged design is a versatile, all-purpose skip for pouring concrete. When the skip is being filled the skip sits horizontally on the ground. It has a square shape with rounded corners and straight outlet. The discharge gate is opened with a pull rope. At the end of the opening operation the discharge valve is closed automatically by a spring retractor The Roll over Column Conc. Skip also benefits from the heavy duty kick down hopper to enable easier cleaning as well as an additional gate closing pulley to increase user confidence.
