Winter Equipment for Snow & Ice Clearing

Winter Equipment for Snow & Ice Clearing

Snow ploughs to clear it. Salt spreaders to keep it clear.

Keep your site open and safe this winter. DRE.ie supplies snow ploughs and salt spreaders for entrances, car parks, industrial yards and roads – from BAUER, SnowEx, LEHNER and Wessex, plus snow ploughs manufactured in Ireland by DRE.

Clear the snow, then stop the ice

Most sites need both. A snow plough pushes fallen snow off your routes quickly. A salt spreader treats the surface before and after, so ice doesn’t form and the area stays safe to walk and drive on. Start with the one you need most, or pair them by the size of your site.

Winter equipment FAQs

Do I need a snow plough or a salt spreader?

A snow plough clears fallen snow. A salt spreader prevents ice forming and treats icy surfaces. Most car parks and yards use both: plough the snow first, then spread salt or grit to keep the surface safe.

Can I use my forklift?

Yes. BAUER and DRE fork-mounted snow ploughs slide onto your forks with no hydraulics, and we also have forklift salt spreaders and tow-behind spreaders a forklift can pull. Tell us your forklift and fork size and we will confirm the fit.

Which size do I need?

Start with the area you need to clear. Both ranges are grouped by area, from entrances and paths up to large industrial sites and roads. Use the guide above, or contact DRE for a recommendation.

Do you deliver across Ireland?

Yes, DRE delivers across all 32 counties. The delivery charge and lead time are confirmed when you order.

Get your site ready before the first frost

Tell us the area you need to clear and treat, and the machines you have. DRE will recommend the right plough and spreader and confirm fit, capacity and lead time.
